Spain: Psychosocial risk prevention – strategies and legislation
28/05/2025
This country report explores approaches to work-related psychosocial risks (PSRs) in Spain. Field research and interviews included a wide range of national stakeholders and social partners playing an important role in occupational safety and health. The country has marked considerable progress in this area since 2021. In addition a specific focus on precarious workers has been taken.
Trade union involvement, collective bargaining and social dialogue can improve labour policy and the overall approach to PSRs. A further cultural shift and improved data availability to close policy gaps to strengthen compliance and implementation of PSR-focused measures are seen as possible steps into the right direction.
