Psychosocial risk prevention – strategies and legislation in Croatia

Croatia: Psychosocial risk prevention – strategies and legislation

Keywords:

This country report outlines legislation and implementation measures in Croatia to enhance prevention of psychosocial risks (PSRs) at work. Field research and interviews included a wide range of national stakeholders playing a role in occupational safety and health.

Research reveals that the legal framework in Croatia is supported by non-legislative tools and resources, prompting reform in the approach to PSRs. Ongoing efforts need to build on legislative advances to refine measures but, most importantly, ensure their implementation for greater impact. SMEs need targeted support in the form of resources and expertise to bridge gaps in PSR management and ensure a focus on organisational measures.
