The purpose of competitive tendering for awarding contracts is twofold:
- To ensure the transparency of operations
- To obtain the desired quality of services, supplies and work at the best possible price
The applicable regulations, namely Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on public procurement, and Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2024/2509 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union (recast), oblige EU-OSHA to guarantee the widest possible participation, on equal terms, in tender procedures and contracts.
