The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work presents the Healthy Workplaces Film Award for the best work-related documentary film. The award is given as a category within the Doclisboa documentary film festival in Lisbon, Portugal. Doclisboa is part of the Doc Alliance – a creative partnership between seven key European documentary film festivals. From 2009 to 2019 the award was presented at the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Films.

Alongside the prize fund of €5,000, EU-OSHA also funds the subtitling of the winning films in multiple European languages for use by the directors and distribution among EU-OSHA’s national network (focal points) across the EU Member States and other European countries.

The award honours a documentary that focuses on the human being in a changing world of work. The film should deal with the effects of political and economic change on the way we work and live, or work-related topics such as physical and psychosocial conditions, existing and new risks at work.

Information on rules, regulations and deadlines for applications can be found on the website of Doclisboa.
