Wishful Filming

Sarah Vanagt

Belgium / 2025 / 37'

A pedestrian (the filmmaker) equipped with a tiny pocket camera wanders through Brussels and encounters Polish, Iranian, Brazilian, Belgian and Moroccan workers.

They slip small pieces of paper into the columns, the walls, and the floors of construction sites: secret wishes intended for future generations.

As she roams the city, filming the messages hidden behind bricks, under cobblestones, on traffic poles and at the bases of statues, the wanderer wonders: “You may be walking on a builder’s wish.”

The Long Road to the Director’s Chair

Vibeke Løkkeberg

Norway / 2025 / 70'

The First International Women’s Film Seminar, organised by filmmakers Claudia von Alemann and Helke Sander in 1973, can be regarded as one of the very first feminist film festivals.

Norwegian filmmaker and former actress Vibeke Løkkeberg attended it, bringing a camera crew to document this pivotal event.

Unearthed nearly 50 years later, the forgotten footage reveals a treasure trove of stories that capture the struggles, ambitions and dreams of women entering a male-dominated industry.
