The awards are part of the Healthy Workplaces campaigns and recognise organisations that actively manage occupational safety and health (OSH).
Taking part is an excellent way of promoting important safety and health issues in your organisation. The competition can also serve as a great source of motivation when working towards improving workplace safety and health.
Organised by EU-OSHA in cooperation with the EU Member States since 2000, the awards recognise outstanding and innovative contributions to OSH. The awards help to demonstrate the benefits of good safety and health in the workplace, and serve as a platform for sharing and promoting good practices across Europe.
All entries are first judged at the national level by EU-OSHA’s network of focal points. National shortlisted examples then take part in the European competition, after which the awarded and commended examples are selected.
These good practices examples are then promoted and celebrated at an awards ceremony in the last year of each campaign.
