Non-binding guide to good practice for the application of Directive 2003/10/EC Noise at work

The non-binding guide, drawn up according to Directive 2003/10/EC on the minimum safety and health requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (Noise), is intended to assist companies, to implement the provisions of this Directive.
The guidance document explains how to carry out a risk assessment and how to choose the most suitable solutions by tackling noise at source, and encouraging collective protective measures over personal protection. In addition, a specific chapter presents practical and specific provisions to help workers and employers in the music and entertainment sectors, where workers are particularly exposed to very high noise levels. The manuscript was completed in 2007.
