European Neighbourhood Policy Project

James Sumner

Since February 2014, EU-OSHA has been working on a project funded under the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). The project will run until January 2016 and aims to involve ENP partner countries in the work of the Agency by establishing a single contact point in each country to provide a platform for sharing information with the local safety and health network.

The ENP offers the 16 partner countries involved the opportunity to build a privileged relationship based on a mutual commitment to common values such as democracy, the rule of law and sustainable development. As part of this relationship, partner countries have the opportunity to participate in the work of European Agencies like EU-OSHA.

EU-OSHA will liaise with the relevant countries, supporting the development of an effective occupational safety and health network involving social partners and other stakeholders through the exchange of good practices and occupational safety and health knowledge and translation of key materials.

We look forward to sharing our work with the European Neighbourhood and helping to make work safer, healthier and more productive.
