Occupational safety and health legislative framework

The Constitutional Act lays down that employees shall have the right to fair and satisfactory conditions of work, including the protection of safety and health at work. [1]The Labour Code has a dedicated part delineating the basics of the occupational safety and health system. [2] The Slovakian legislation on occupational health and safety 124/2006 Coll. ("Act on OSH") [3] implements the European Framework Council Directive 89/391/EEC [4]. The Act applies to every employer and to entrepreneurs.
