The company provided sheltered workplaces for disabled workers. The firm was an all-round contractor, thus production processes and locations varied widely according to the customer. Activities ranged from making pallets through metalworking to gardening and party service. To obtain an optimal match of employee and task, the company set up the Ergolab department, which tests, orients and trains people with a disability or with limited opportunities on the labour market. The aim was to tackle additional occupational risks arising from the disability and decrease the stress of being in a task beyond one’s capacities.
