Description

This free workshop is the perfect opportunity to advance your knowledge of health and safety risk assessment in audiovisual productions. Participants will learn about key risks related to shooting, the use of cranes and dollies, locations, transportation of people and set materials, fire prevention, workplace safety, and the management of cast and crew.
Risks related to departments such as hairdressing, make-up, special effects, and costumes will also be addressed.
Special attention will be given to wellbeing on set — including the prevention of stress, burnout, harassment, and violence, as well as elements of intimacy coordination.

The workshop will feature:

  • Introduction to OiRA and Health and Safety Risk Assessment in Film
  • Masterclass on Risk Assessment, covering the main risks in audiovisual productions
  • Special focus on Psychosocial Risks (prevention of stress, burnout, bullying, harassment, and violence)
  • Guided user test of the updated OiRA tool for the Audiovisual sector

Speakers include:

  • Julia Flintrop, OiRA Project Manager, European Agency for Safety and Health at Work - Spain
  • Karen Cummins, Health and Safety Coordinator, Glenveagh Properties PLC - Ireland

You will also discover how OiRA can support you throughout the risk assessment process.
