Poremećaji mišićno-koštanog sustava povezani s radom negativno utječu na zdravlje milijuna europskih radnika te na produktivnost i troškove poduzeća u svim sektorima. Radnici imaju ključnu ulogu u rješavanju tih bitnih problema.
U ovom izvješću predlažu se metode za aktivno uključivanje radnika u prevenciju poremećaja mišićno-koštanog sustava. Ono sadržava praktične primjere i studije slučaja iz poduzeća u kojima su radnici sudjelovali u uspješnom sprječavanju poremećaja mišićno-koštanog sustava. Predstavljaju se i čimbenici i uvjeti potrebni za djelotvorno sudjelovanje radnika.
U izvješću se organizacijama, uključujući mala poduzeća, i donositeljima politika daju savjeti i smjernice o upravljanju rizicima i provedbi participativnih intervencija usmjerenih na poremećaje mišićno-koštanog sustava.
