Following the success of the 1st IPA Regional Conference in 2023, the 2nd IPA Regional Conference was hosted by the Romanian FOP on 10 and 11 September 2025 on the topic of "Accidents at work"
On 10 and 11 September 2025, within the context of the EU funded IPA Action, EU-OSHA organised the 2nd IPA Regional Conference, which was hosted by the National Research and Development Institute of Occupational Safety "Alexandru Darabont" (FOP authority), in Bucharest, Romania. The aim of the conference was to ensure OSH information and knowledge exchange with the IPA beneficiaries on the topic of accidents at work.
The conference was structured into two half-days. On day 1, EU-OSHA shared the relevant EU legislation covering the aspects of accidents at work, as well as the importance of data collection and distribution. EU Member States from Ireland, Portugal and Romania experts shared national practices and experiences in tackling and raising awareness on accidents at work and presented the 2024 SLIC campaign on "Accidents at work".
On day 2, IPA OSH representatives from all 7 beneficiaries had the opportuntiy to provide an overview of national policies, practices and difficulties on the subject. An OSH representatives from Moldova (who participated at own cost) attended the event and provided an overview of the Moldovan experience.
The IPA Regional Conference remains a great opportunity for informal exchanges between beneficiaries and EU-OSHA but also to enhance dialogue within the region.
