Praktična orodja in smernice v zvezi z nevarnimi kemičnimi snovmi
Države članice, evropske institucije, poslovna združenja, socialni partnerji in drugi akterji so pripravili veliko orodij in smernic, s katerimi si lahko podjetja pomagajo pri izvajanju celovitih in učinkovitih ocen tveganja. V teh orodjih so predstavljeni različni pristopi k učinkovitemu ravnanju z nevarnimi snovmi. Pogosto so obravnavani določeni delovni postopki, kot so polnjenje in črpanje tekočin ali varjenje. V drugih virih je podan izčrpen pregled nekaterih skupin snovi, kot so snovi, ki povzročajo preobčutljivost, ali pa so poudarjena tveganja, značilna za nekatere sektorje.
Poleg visokokakovostnega ocenjevanja tveganja je mogoče z večino teh orodij pridobiti dobre praktične rešitve, npr. razlage, kako zmanjšati tveganja v pogostih delovnih razmerah, pri katerih pride do izpostavljenosti nevarnim snovem. Na voljo so tudi orodja v podporo določenim akterjem, med drugim delovnim inšpektorjem, malim in srednjim podjetjem ter delavskim zaupnikom za varnost in zdravje pri delu.
