Description
Agriculture remains one of the sectors most exposed to decent work deficits worldwide. Ensuring safe, healthy and fair working conditions across agri-food sector value chains continues to be a major challenge, particularly in labour-intensive activities such as crop production, horticulture, and livestock.
To address this challenge, the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), through its Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (CIHEAM Zaragoza), is organising an advanced course in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), EU-OSHA's Spanish focal point, the Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (INSST), SafeHabitus, and the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID).
This course aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the key dimensions of decent employment in agriculture, combining international labour standards with practical tools and policy approaches.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person or online. English will be the working language.
The application deadline is 19 July 2026.
