Occupational safety and health (OSH) is still too often shaped around a ‘male’ norm, despite clear differences in how women and men experience work and exposure to risk.
In its latest issue (n°31), The European Trade Union Institute magazine HesaMag examines how gender influences everything from psychosocial and ergonomic risks to occupational diseases, digitalisation, heat exposure and care-related work.
It also addresses topics that remain insufficiently recognised in policy and practice, including sexual harassment, menstruation, menopause and the mental health and inclusion challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ workers.
