With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Finn Sheye on 19 August 2026.

During his time working as a Danish government expert at the European Commission, Finn played an important role in the setting up of EU-OSHA. In 1996 he helped establish the agency in Bilbao, where he worked as part of the senior staff, responsible for international relations, including support to EU enlargement. Finn left EU-OSHA in 2008, taking up duties at the European Food Safety Agency in Parma, Italy.
