The Republic of Croatia is a European country, in geopolitical term Central European and Mediterranean countrie, geographically located in the southern part of Central Europe and in the northern part of the Mediterranean. The land area is 56,578 km² and the coastal area is 31,067 km², which puts Croatia among medium-sized European countries. In Croatia is official the Croatian language and Latin script.
