The Croatian journal focused on OSH “Sigurnost/Safety” publishes yearly reports on cases of occupational poisonings reported to the Croatian Poison Control Centre. These poisonings are mainly caused by chemical agents. The report for 2021 emphasized the increasing trend of skin and ocular exposure routes of occupational poisonings due to the inadequate use of protective gloves and goggles, and pointed out corrosive substances (acids and alkalies) as a leading poisoning causes.
