The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and EU-OSHA have signed an updated cooperation agreement to protect the safety and health of workers, through the exchange of information, policy support and collaboration on regulatory science.
Dr Sharon McGuinness, ECHA’s Executive Director, commented that “increased cooperation between our agencies will help to further improve the health and safety of workers in Europe”, while EU-OSHA Executive Director William Cockburn supported this view: “Through our joint commitment, we are raising awareness on emerging workplace risks and driving prevention efforts across Europe”.
The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed at EU-OSHA's Management Board meeting in Bilbao.
