Summary - Ireland’s approach to supporting occupational safety and health compliance: the role of labour inspectorate and prevention services

This report presents research on how occupational safety and health (OSH) is structured, delivered and achieved in Ireland. It details how the Health and Safety Authority and national prevention services support OSH compliance.

The report also presents findings from six case studies evidencing successful examples of collaboration and innovation in support of OSH compliance. It further offers conclusions and considerations on how to improve OSH compliance, and whether the approaches can be transferred elsewhere to reduce work-related fatalities, accidents and incidents.
