Irish State Claims Agency's risk management: supporting occupational safety and health compliance (Case IE6)

This case study report on the Irish State Claims Agency (SCA) describes how requiring governmental health and social care providers to provide incident data supports risk management assessment. It also looks at collaborative activities supporting occupational safety and health compliance. 

The SCA’s approach helps to better inform which organisations to audit and what issues need attention. The effectiveness of SCA visits can be measured with its National Incident Management System. The idea behind the SCA approach is transferable to other Member States but would need an approved legal basis.
