Gender mainstreaming has been used in Sweden as a strategic approach to reduce psychosocial risks and improve workers’ safety and health.
This case study describes how the gender perspective has been integrated into risk assessment, labour inspection and policy implementation, highlighting initiatives by the Swedish Work Environment Authority to address organisational and social risk factors in a highly gender-segregated labour market.
