Smart headband for fatigue risk-monitoring: smart digital systems for improving workers' safety and health

Fatigue, whether physical, mental or emotional, plays a pivotal – and often overlooked – role in occupational health and safety (OSH). This case study describes the challenges and opportunities of a wearable device measuring alertness and fatigue impairment, providing workers with tools to manage fatigue proactively.
