Assisted reality device for remote OSH assessments and audit: smart digital systems for improving workers' safety and health

This case study describes an assisted/extended reality wearable device that allows OSH professionals, experts and auditors to participate in assessments or audits remotely and in real time. Apart from its opportunities, the use of the system must also be viewed in terms of OSH risks and challenges, such as overreliance on technology. Therefore, the case study shows the importance of implementing new technologies as part of a broader OSH system.
