Poland has made provisions supporting Ukrainian migrants and refugees in the labour market. This case study shows how the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine (NIOM) safeguards their status within the workforce and their occupational safety and health (OSH) rights.
NIOM’s project supports Polish employers’ compliance with OSH regulations and includes actions to overcome language barriers. Videos, brochures and questionnaires aid with preventive healthcare and medical examinations. The initiative is a good example of managing labour migration and prioritising OSH.
