This case study presents the ‘Micro enterprises and risk assessment 2 (KuG 2)’ project on testing the success of monitoring activities in SMEs when requested by letter to conduct a risk assessment. The approach has a preventive character aiming to increase monitoring pressure on SMEs with the lowest possible input.
KuG 2 results show it can increase the number of SMEs assessing their risks and enhance the quality of risk assessments and in turn improve OSH standards. It is also a helpful instrument for improving consulting and monitoring activities, leading to easier on-site monitoring.
