The document aims to inform and provide practical prevention advice for carrying out asbestos removal or encapsulation (fixing by coating, impregnation, or encasing) of asbestos-containing materials, including in the case of demolition, renovation, and rehabilitation. The guide is intended for all stakeholders involved in an asbestos removal operation (project owners, clients, project managers, companies, employers, occupational health physicians, employees, prevention specialists, etc.).
The training on operating procedures and observations in the field reveal a lack of awareness and/or shortcomings regarding protective clothing and/or decontamination procedures when working on materials, equipment, or articles likely to release asbestos fibers. The video reiterates the legal requirements and provides information to ensure works involving releases of asbestos fibres are carried out under the conditions required to protect workers. Apart from the video, three posters can be downloaded.
