This workshop aimed to present the findings of EU-OSHA’s Foresight on new and emerging occupational safety and health (OSH) risks associated with digitalisation by 2025 as well as to demonstrate how the scenarios produced as part of the foresight can be used as a tool to develop policies and strategies addressing these challenges. It was organised with EU-OSHA’s Romanian Focal Point in Bucharest 7^th February 2019 and delivered by the UK Health and Safety Laboratory and SAMI Consulting Limited.

Digital technologies, such as advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, wearables or online platforms are likely to have major impacts on the nature and organisation of work over the next years. Technologies are diffusing more widely and much faster than in the past and many people are talking about a ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’.
