Supporting mental health of long-term care workers - European Works Council case study

This case study focuses on how the European Works Council (EWC) of French long-term care company Clariane has helped mitigate psychosocial risks (PSRs) to the benefit of its employees. The primary goals were to reduce sick leave, increase the sector’s attractiveness, ensure quality of care and promote the wellbeing of care workers.

The initiative has helped to raise awareness of the company’s psychosocial support services. The overall outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of social dialogue at EWC level but also the support of management when implementing PSR prevention measures.
