Portugal’s public authorities and private organisations – co-enforcement inspection practices delivers OSH benefits (Case PT2)

This case study outlines the positive impact for labour inspections from collaboration between public authorities and private sector organisations, specifically through the example of the Operational Interinstitutional Group (GIO).

To strengthen occupational safety and health compliance, efforts focus primarily on vulnerable groups of workers.  The networking practices at different levels serve to ensure legal compliance, guarantee worker protection and combat situations of precarious employment.
