Portugal inspection visits carried out in pairs – a positive impact for occupational safety and health (Case PT1)

This case study presents the approach of the Portuguese Authority for Working Conditions in conducting labour inspections in pairs. This is regarded as a good practice with positive effects for the inspectors and for promoting occupational safety and health in businesses.

This form of work organisation fosters a collaborative and safer working environment, enables less experienced inspectors to learn from more experienced colleagues and protects them from risk of violence.
