Norwegian Labour Inspectorate's call service: supporting occupational safety and health compliance (Case NO4)


The Labour Inspection Authority operates a call service to assist with enquiries on issues related to rights and duties in Norway’s workplaces. It provides relevant actors with the knowledge and tools they need to comply with relevant regulations.

As this case study shows, this guidance and counselling service is effective in helping employers, workers, safety representatives and others to get the information they need. This also applies to foreign employers and workers, with information provided in five additional languages and from a team with varied occupational backgrounds.
