The European Platform for Occupational Hygiene (EPOH) has launched a Europe-wide initiative to harmonise the competencies expected of occupational hygienists.

EPOH’s new competency framework aims to improve comparability between countries, support professional mobility, and strengthen recognition of occupational hygiene qualifications across Europe.

Developed in collaboration with national occupational hygiene associations, the framework will help employers, regulators, and professionals ensure that occupational hygiene assessments are carried out by competent specialists equipped to protect workers’ health in diverse regulatory and industrial environments.
