Safeguarding musculoskeletal health in the health and social care sector – a policy brief

Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common and persistent occupational health challenges faced by workers in the health and social care (HeSCare) sector across the EU. A sector that is characterised by high physical demands, psychosocial stressors and complex care environments.

This policy brief draws on extensive data, literature and stakeholder input to identify key takeaways including more comprehensive training, cross-policy collaboration, development of specific guidelines, empowering worker participation and better psychosocial work environments.
