The TMS Pros programme – supporting MSDs prevention in the health and social care sector

This case study examines the TMS Pros Progamme, an initiative by France’s National Health Insurance Fundto help companies prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders through a structured, long-term approach. Launched in 2014, it is supported by tailored tools, training, and financial assistance—particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the HeSCare sector, the programme has supported over a thousand nursing homes since 2018. It provides sector-specific guidance, fosters internal capacity-building, and encourages a collaborative approach to prevention involving managers, care staff and occupational health professionals.
