New report urges EU action on work-related road deaths

A new report by the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) highlights the need for action in an often overlooked area of occupational safety and health: work-related road safety.

The report, prepared in consultation with EU-OSHA experts, finds that work-related road deaths account for a significant share of all road fatalities in Europe, with commuting among the most dangerous parts of the working day. It identifies good practices and remaining gaps and calls for closer alignment between road safety and OSH systems.
