The overview report of EU-OSHA's Workers’ Exposure Survey (WES) provides the clearest picture so far of how many people in Europe are likely to face cancer-causing risk factors at work.
Representing almost 100 million workers in the EU, the results show that nearly half were probably exposed to at least one carcinogen during their last working week prior to the survey, with major gaps in prevention and urgent measures needed to reduce work-related cancer.
