Foresight study on the circular economy and its Impacts on OSH: How to improve prospects for the most affected sectors

Environmentally sustainable practices are increasingly gaining support from shifts in EU policy and related initiatives. EU-OSHA has been assessing the impact of the circular economy (CE) and its potential consequences for occupational safety and health (OSH) up to the year 2040.

This policy draws on the latest EU-OSHA foresight study on the CE’s future implications. The options emerging from its findings offer an opportunity for policymakers and stakeholders to improve OSH prospects in four of the most affected sectors: construction, energy, manufacturing and transport.
