On 28 October 2021, the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) organised a virtual event on employment and pain policy entitled “Workplace integration and adaptation for people living with pain - What can be done to support a healthy and productive European workforce and society?”.
The aim of this initiative was to identify gaps in employment policies for workers with pain and disabilities. And also provide recommendations for effective adaptation of their working environment so they can return or remain at work safely.
SIP organised this virtual meeting in response to the European Institutions’ commitment to the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights' Action Plan, the EU Health and Safety Strategic Framework 2021-2027, and the EU Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030.
The event report and the slides presented are available for download.
