Taiwanese authorities visit EU-OSHA

On 15 June 2026, EU-OSHA welcomed a delegation comprising, among others, representatives from the Taiwan Ministry of Labor and the Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Administration to its headquarters in Bilbao, Spain.

Following opening remarks by Taiwan's Minister of Labor, Sun-Han Hung, Director-General of Taiwan-OSHA, Yu-Tang Lin, and EU-OSHA Executive Director William Cockburn, discussions focused on key occupational safety and health (OSH) issues.

EU-OSHA Senior Research Project Manager Maurizio Curtarelli participated in discussions on the impact of climate change on OSH, while Vibe Westh, Head of the Prevention and Research Unit, joined an exchange on an integrated framework for rehabilitation and return to work following occupational diseases.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing interest in further collaboration to promote safer and healthier workplaces.

EU-OSHA Management Board meeting at BAT

The 16–17 June Management Board meeting takes place at Bilbao’s B Accelerator Tower (BAT), EU-OSHA’s future headquarters from September. The BAT is a leading innovation hub, bringing together start-ups, corporate and public actors, creating a dynamic environment closely connected to the world of work.

Management Board members discuss key priorities ─ such as the topic for the Healthy Workplaces Campaign starting in 2029 and future research projects ─ while marking a milestone in the Agency’s move. The new setting reflects EU-OSHA’s ambition to bring occupational safety and health closer to the public, while strengthening engagement with local and international enterprises.

The Chair of EU-OSHA’s Management Board, Andreas Stoimendis, said: “This move underlines EU-OSHA’s commitment to safer, healthier and forward-looking workplaces, fostering innovation and strengthening our engagement with citizens and partners across Europe.”
