Tackling climate change on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work

World OSH Day highlights the right to a safe and healthy work environment for all. In 2024, it focuses on the impacts of climate change on occupational safety and health (OSH)

EU-OSHA is committed to researching the consequences of climate change and adaptation policies on workers’ OSH and offering practical guidance to manage the occupational risks. A guide to managing heat at work, available in over 20 languages, and a report exploring the implications for OSH of the future of agriculture and forestry, are some of our contributions. A foresight project and an OSH overview on climate change effects are in a preparatory phase.

By reducing knowledge gaps, we are supporting safer and healthier workplaces in the face of environmental challenges.

See this poster for more information on EU-OSHA's work on climate change and OSH.
