On World Cancer Day, EU-OSHA is releasing a new presentation with data from the Workers’ exposure survey on cancer risk factor in Europe (WES).

The presentation highlights key findings on workers’ probable exposure to 24 cancer risk factors, such as ultraviolet radiation and respirable crystalline silica. It details how these exposures vary by worker demographics and working conditions. It also reports on the use of protective measures.

EU-OSHA’s work provides reliable data and support efforts to raise awareness and guide prevention strategies for work-related cancers, one of the biggest occupational health problems in Europe. A final WES report will be released in May.
