In the context of EU-OSHA’s Foresight Project, a seminar on two new expert articles on the Future of Work (FoW) took place in Bilbao, on 29 January 2026.
The seminar was introduced by Annick Starren — Senior Research Project Manager at EU-OSHA —, and included a presentation on 'Increasing labour shortages in Europe implications for future OSH policy and practices' by Mikkel Barslung and Karolien Lenaerts (HIVA-KU Leuven), as well as a presentation on 'AI-driven systems for improving workers’ health and safety in light of the AI Act' by Stefania Marassi and John Bolte (The Hague University of Applied Sciences — THUAS, The Netherlands).
After the presentations, discussions took place with the EU-OSHA Focal Points.
