Alternative futures for the Circular Economy and OSH in 2040- Vulnerable workers within society

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), together with Future Impacts, organised the virtual workshop "Alternative futures for the Circular Economy (CE) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2040 - Vulnerable workers within society".

This workshop is part of EU-OSHA's Foresight study on possible developments in the Circular Economy and its effects on occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the European Union.

The aim of this workshop, which has a special focus on vulnerable workers, was to explore a set of 4 scenarios created for the project and to discuss sectoral and stakeholder perspectives on future developments regarding the Circular Economy. Moreover, it will allow EU-OSHA to add to the reflection on future pathways and opportunities and risks, inform policy and raise awareness to reduce potential negative OSH impacts in the future. Participants will benefit from receiving respective project insights and materials, and from connecting to other stakeholders and experts in the field, from a variety of backgrounds.
