Supporting workplace health promotion for workers in Slovenian small businesses

This case study describes a workplace health promotion programme for small and medium-sized enterprises in western Slovenia. Tailored interventions such as online tools, workshops and management support aimed to improve work engagement, working conditions and health behaviours to prevent work-related health problems such as cardiovascular and chronic disease. While originally addressing healthy ageing at work, the programme was found to apply to all workers, offering a transferable model for holistic occupational safety and health action in small businesses across Europe.
