Eiffage Infrastructures is involved in road construction and maintenance in France. The company’s laboratory technicians analyse a large number of asphalt samples from 35 million tonnes of asphalt reclaimed every year from roads across the country to determine if it can be reused. Until recently, this analysis involved the use of an organic solvent classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic, thus potentially putting thousands of workers at risk.

The innovative Analysis Safe method developed and adopted by the company completely eliminates the use of organic solvents and is quicker to use, thus protecting worker health and the environment, and saving time, money and resources.
