Overview of biomonitoring practices in the EU Member States and Norway

This report presents the findings of a survey on occupational biomonitoring practices across 23 EU Member States and Norway. It examines the main triggers for biomonitoring, including risk assessments, decisions by occupational physicians and binding Biological Limit Values.

The analysis also reviews the national guidance, as well as requirements related to worker consent and the protection of personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation. In addition, the report considers laboratory capacity and quality assurance, plus inspection and enforcement approaches.
