OiRA brings the recipe for safer jobs in food production and retail

Hot surfaces, sharp tools, repetitive movements, biological hazards and dealing with difficult customers  – workers in food production and sales are exposed to daily risks that can’t be ignored.

To help employers navigate these challenges, OiRA national partners offer 19 sector-specific risk assessment tools, all free and easy to use. The tools cover activities like butchers, bakeries, supermarkets, fish shops and others. 

Meanwhile, new tools are being developed in Cyprus for small food shops and in Greece for meat and poultry production, further expanding support for the sector.
