OSH Barometer data visualisation tool offers comprehensive insights on occupational safety and health (OSH) using interactive charts to present data trends. EU-OSHA has recently introduced two new features: the “enforcement indicator” and the “social dialogue” indicator.
The ‘enforcement’ indicator provides data on the enforcement capacity of national labour inspectorates in Member States, including staff, performed inspections and sanctions. Sufficient staffing of labour inspectors contributes to adequate monitoring and enforcement of safety and health standards across diverse industries. Inspectors’ visits to establishments promote safety and can result in better compliance and safer workplaces. Fines serve as an essential deterrent against violations. This new data set also includes indexes for occupational diseases, OSH complaints and improvement notices.
The other new feature is the restructuring of the ‘social dialogue’ indicator and the inclusion of a composite indicator that visualises key dimensions of industrial relations and OSH representation.
In addition, there has been an update to provided datasets, including latest Eurostat data (e.g. Work accidents) and in the “General Information” page, a contextual scheme has been included presenting how the provided information is organised under the wider OSH context. Data are presented as charts, maps or value tables, for flexibility and clear insights into workplace safety trends.
